Robert W. Britto-Oliveira ’01
Robert W. Britto-Oliveira ’01 (East Providence High School) graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2006 with a B.A. in Secondary Education and History and a minor in African American Studies. He is also an alumnus of URI’s Talent Development Program. After graduation, Bobby worked as a Live-in Counselor and a tutor for the Talent Development Program. He has also been a Counselor in Training at Camp Davis, a Residential Tutor Counselor for the Rhode Island College Upward Bound Program, a Teacher with the Providence Summerbridge Program, a Student Teacher in the East Providence School District, and a Residential Assistant at the University of Rhode Island.
For the past two years, Bobby has worked for The College Crusade as a high school Advisor, preparing students for success in higher education. He advises Crusaders who attend E-Cubed Academy and William M. Davies Career Tech High School. “I enjoy giving back to the College Crusade what it has given to many students over the years,” he says.
