Adam Teper ’04
Adam Teper ’04 (Woonsocket High School) graduated from Roger Williams University in 2008 with a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. In the past he was employed by Securitas as a Security Officer and is currently working as a substitute teacher in the Woonsocket school system. Adam worked for The College Crusade during summer 2007 as a Ways to A’s Instructor, teaching study skills to young Crusaders. He is a strong believer in our mentoring approach. “I think that if I were not in the Crusade, I would probably not be where I am today,” he says. “I had a rough childhood, and the Crusade helped me with my school work and allowed me to concentrate better and learn in a way that fit me. They essentially played a huge role in helping me make it into Honor Society in high school. My family is also low income, and with the help of a Crusade scholarship, I was able to go to one of the most prestigious criminal justice universities in the country. All my thanks go to Christine Baker, who was the Advisor for Woonsocket High School – her help through my four years at WHS will never be forgotten!”
Over the years, Adam has volunteered his time to many worthy causes, including the Woonsocket Task Force on Substance Abuse. “The Crusade taught me to get involved and to stay involved. My eyes are still being opened to new experiences and I am still being taught lessons that will help me in life.”
