Crusader Honored with Scholarship

Brian Estrada was awarded the Laura Rendón Community Service Scholarship during the 2009 Youth Leadership Summit for GEAR UP participants hosted in San Francisco last month! The $1,000 scholarship is given on the basis of a written essay and the recipient’s contributions during the national summit. Only two scholarships were awarded. Congratulations, Brian!

Crusaders Step Toward Careers

Four high school Crusaders from Providence were chosen for the Lifespan Summer Youth Employment Program for 2009. They are Patricia Silverio, Kevin Porras, Stephanie Jimenez, and Stephanie Taveras.
