PC Students Host Fundraiser

Three students from Providence College organized a fundraising event for The College Crusade as a project for their Organizational Theory class this term! Project team members (left to right) were junior Ben Farrer of Calgary, Alberta, Canada; junior Ben Cerroni of Dublin, N.H.; and senior Andrew Kelley of Wakefield, R.I. They chose a fun venue for their event – Dave & Buster’s at Providence Place Mall. They created flyers, solicited donations from local businesses, and sent out lots of invitations for students to join them for a night of games and food on November 30.

Their event also featured a raffle and silent auction including a broad selection of sports memorabilia, from a hockey stick and jersey signed by the Providence College team to framed photos of Red Sox, Yankees, Bruins, and Celtics stars. College Crusade CEO Todd Flaherty stopped in to meet the participating students, along with Crusade Development Director Bob Oberg and Crusade Alum Raii Harris, who is a senior at Johnson & Wales University.

Many thanks to Ben, Ben, and Andrew for their thoughtfulness!
