A Big Finish for CAAP

Our Crusade Adventure & Academic Program for middle school is winding up this week. What a terrific time CAAP Crusaders had this summer! Their home base was Roger Williams Middle School in Providence, where they started off each day with reading and discussion of Monster, an award-winning novel by Walter Dean Myers. After lunch they participated in fun learning activities, field trips, and group challenges such as Atlantic Crossing, where they had to work together to discover a hidden pattern that would get them safely across the blue grid! They explored the Brown University campus in a scavenger hunt, conquered Purgatory Chasm and the Newport Cliffwalk, and learned teamwork in the low-ropes course at Harmony Hill. All together, 108 Crusaders participated! Thanks to all our middle school Advisory staff, to reading instructor Matt Sciotti, and to CAAP coordinators Roberto Gonzalez and Trina Schroeter for making it a great summer!
