Crusade Alums Teach Ways to A’s

instructorsIt’s July, and our Ways to A’s summer study-skills program for sixth graders is in full swing! Nearly 300 students are signed up to sharpen their study skills and get ready for the challenge of middle school this fall.

As always, our Ways to A’s teaching team features all Crusade Alums! They are Casby Harrison, a senior at Northeastern University, majoring in marketing; Tiffany Hooks, a 2009 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Exercise Science; Rahja Laster, a senior at the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Human Development and Family Studies; Chanravy Proeung, a 2009 graduate of Rhode Island College with a B.S. in Nursing; and Marianella Solano, a 2009 graduate of the University of Rhode Island with a B.A. in Psychology.

The Ways to A’s site coordinator is Adam Tarczuk, a former College Crusade Advisor who is now an eighth-grade social studies teacher at Grafton Middle School, in Grafton, Mass.

All our Ways to A’s staff will be leading their students through lots of useful activities in active listening, note taking, reading, and writing, memorization, test taking, and time management. They’ll do their best to encourage a new class of Crusaders to get the right start on the path to college!
