Career Advice: Follow Your Passion
College Crusade communications intern Liz Oberg, a senior at Providence College, organized our Crusade Alumni Career Panel, which took place on March 28 at Saturday Cru Club. Here is Liz’s report from the day:
“On Saturday, March 28, The College Crusade held its first ever Crusade Alumni Career Panel. Middle school and high school Crusaders attending Cru Club at Johnson and Wales Harborside campus learned about careers ranging from civil law to running a martial arts business. Special guest presenters spoke about what it is like to be a college student or recent graduate starting a career. Our guest speakers had one very special quality in common – they were all Crusaders once! Our Alumni visitors enjoyed lunch with the students before speaking about their own college and career experiences. Afterwards, they were available to answer questions from Crusaders.”
Many thanks to these Alumni speakers for sharing their inspiring stories and advice: Jamal Carvalho, Thomas Evans, Diony Garcia, Saikon Gbehan, Tiffany Hooks, Michelle Scully, Sabrina Solares, and Ranika Spiver.
Crusade Alum Michelle Scully talks with middle school Crusaders about her life as a graduate student in psychology at Rhode Island College.
