A Cool Career Day

nurseA big crowd of 140 middle school Crusaders from Pawtucket, Central Falls, and Woonsocket came to New England Institute of Technology for Career Day on February 7. They learned about many interesting career fields, group with software engineerincluding fire safety engineering, brain research, nursing, software engineering, teaching, and law enforcement. They also heard an inspiring keynote presentation from Robert Corrente, U.S. Attorney for the State of Rhode Island. Mr. Corrente described the exciting career options available to lawyers in today’s world. He emphasized the importance of writing in the field of law and encouraged Crusaders to take classes that will teach them to write well.

Tate, Ph.D., Neuropsychologist, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Boston; Vincent Quinterno, Deputy State Fire Marshal, Office of the RI State Fire Marshal; Matt McKenna, Software Engineer; Janice Caianiello, RN, Coordinated Care Case Manager, Kent Hospital; Leo Tetreault, Police Officer, Warwick Police Department; Professor John Stein, Neurologist, Brown University; Carl Papino, US Post Office; and Gil Lantini, President, Focus Business Solutions.
