This fall’s Getting to College Conference was held on October 11 at Jorge Alvarez High School in Providence. A big hit of the day was the premiere showing of video that a team of Crusaders worked on over the summer as a public service announcement. Not only did they do all the project planning and scriptwriting, some of them also stepped in front of the camera as actors! They packed the video with great advice for high school seniors about what you need to do to get to college. (Thanks to videographer Juan Rodriguez from Bugged Out Productions.)

Other highlights of the conference were the essay writing workshops by guest speakers Ralph Tavarez, Assistant Director of Admissions and Coordinator of Multicultural Recruitment for Salve Regina University, and Bill Jack, Admissions Counselor for Colby College.
