On July 17, The Amgen Foundation visited our Ways to A’s study-skills program to present a check for $20,000 to a classroom of Crusaders! During the visit, company representatives Larry Bernard, Thomas Spooner, and Erin Tetreault talked with the group of 9th graders about careers with Amgen and described how their own college experiences prepared them for good jobs. Advisors Alexis Brown and Huascar Beato were also on hand, plus Ways to A’s instructors Gladys Vasquez and Adam Tarczuk.
